Diamond Shapes

This shape accounts for over 75% of all diamonds sold today. Round is the most popular shape used for engagement rings. It's 58 facet-cut achieves the maximum brilliance a diamond can have, maximising the reflection and refraction of light.

This is one of the most popular fancy-shaped diamonds and is popular for engagement rings. The princess cut is essentially a square version of the round brilliant cut, known technically as a square modified brilliant cut.

An emerald cut diamond can be extremely stunning. It may not have the sparkle of a round brilliant cut, but because of its long lines it tends to produce more dramatic flashes of light.

This shape is a cross between a princess and an emerald cut. It combines the best features of the round brilliant cut, the elegance and trimmed corners of an emerald cut and a squarer shape more similar to the princess cut.

This shape is a variation of the round brilliant cut - elongated with pointed ends. This shape can maximise carat-weight, making the diamond appear much larger, and tends to make your fingers appear long and slender.

Pear shaped diamonds are often called 'teardrop' diamonds. This shape is a combination of the round brilliant and the marquise, a fiery cut with elegant lines and lots of sparkle.

The asscher cut is often referred to as the 'square emerald cut' - because it is square with wide step facets and cropped corners. This cut is designed to draw your eye into the stone.

Baguette cut diamonds are oblong/rectangular, and are similar to emerald cuts but without the cut corners

Certifications & Valuations

To receive an independent diamond certificate, your item needs to have at least 1 diamond weighing at least 0.25ct, G colour or better. If you select H colour, your item needs to have at least 1 diamond weighing 0.30ct. This is industry standard practice, as diamonds under 0.25ct are considered too small to individually certify. You will however always receive a Valuation document, no matter which carat weight you select.

So, to give you some examples, if you order a single-stone ring from us, and the diamond weighs 0.25ct and is G colour or better, you will receive a certificate. If you order a single-stone ring that is H colour, the stone needs to be at least 0.30ct to receive a certificate. A 0.25ct H colour diamond won't be certified.

If you order an eternity ring that weighs 0.50ct, but it is made up of 5 diamonds (each being 0.10ct) you won't receive a certificate. For a 5-stone eternity ring to be certified, the total weight would need to be 1.25ct (and the colour would need to be G), as each stone would in this case weigh 0.25ct. If you order a ring with lots of small diamonds, even if the total weight is for example 1.50ct, it still won't be certified as the diamonds are individually too small to certify. As mentioned previously, you will instead receive a Valuation Document.

You can see whether your chosen item will be certified or not, by looking at your selected product and clicking where you can see 'Click Here for More Info', where you will also see a logo for a Valuation Document which accompanies every item.

If your item is not accompanied by a certificate, it will always be accompanied by a valuation document. This document confirms the Carat, Colour, Clarity and Shape of your diamond/s, as well as a photograph and full description of the item. Our valuations are carried out by an experienced GG (Graduate Gemologist) and FGA (Fellow of the Gemmological Association), so this document gives you an accurate valuation of your item (RRP) as well as providing confirmation of the quality/specification of the diamond/s you have purchased.

The valuation document you will receive (provided with all items) is your proof that what you are purchasing is exactly as described (and also that it has the same estimated RRP value as shown on the website). This document can be used if you wish to insure your jewellery, and for making an insurance claim. If your item is accompanied by a diamond certificate, this is your assurance of the Carat/Colour/Clarity/Cut of the diamond/s you have purchased from us.

It is essential that if you do decide to return your item to us, you must follow the instructions detailed in our Returns Policy.

Delivery Information

Generally we state 10 working days for all items on our website (there are a few items that will take 3-4 weeks).

You can see the delivery time for your chosen item when viewing that particular product, as all items on the website state the estimated delivery time. If you need your order urgently or for a specific date, please tell us using the 'Special Requirements/Date Needed By' section that you will see during checkout when you place your order. We'll do everything we can to have your item ready in time. Please be aware that our 10 working day delivery time is estimated and not guaranteed, so if you do have a specific date in mind you must tell us using the Date Needed By section.

We will email you once your item has been dispatched. We usually send our delivery confirmation emails at around 5pm so if you're expecting an item to be dispatched on a particular day, please check your email after 5pm/6pm.

Our packaging only states 'Just J Ltd' on the package, and the contents are not identifiable from the packaging. We use the Royal Mail Special Delivery service. This is a guaranteed next-day delivery service, which arrives between 9am-1pm the day after we post the item to you, and the parcel requires a signature. If you are out at the time of delivery, Royal Mail will leave a "while you were out" card and the parcel can be collected from your local Post Office, or you can arrange for a re-delivery directly with Royal Mail. We will email you the day your item is dispatched so you will know to look out for your delivery the following morning.

Delivery is free and your item will be fully insured during transit.

If you are outside the UK, but within Europe, we can send your item with Royal Mail International Signed For, free of charge. This international service takes on average 2-3 working days but this can vary slightly. Please contact us here if you require further information regarding shipping internationally.

If you are outside Europe, we will send your item via Fedex or TNT, and there is an extra charge for this service of £ 40.

Please note: We can only send your order to the cardholder's billing address (where the debit or credit card is registered to) or alternatively to your business/work place. We cannot deliver to a residential address that does not match your billing address (this is for security reasons). If you need your item delivered to an address that is neither your billing address nor your work/business place, the only way we can fulfill your order is if payment is made via bank transfer or Paypal, so please contact us if you'd like to do this.

Returns Policy

All items are covered by our 30 day money-back guarantee. You can return an item within 30 days of receipt, for a full refund or an exchange.

When sending an item back to us for a refund or an exchange, it needs to be in its original, unworn, unused condition and be accompanied by all certification documents, as well as its box (inner and outer boxes). Items damaged due to negligence will not be accepted for a refund. Once an item has been received and checkedd, we will process your refund straight away, however the payment may take several days to return to your account. Please use this form here when sending your order back for a refund/exchange. The form also containts an FAQs section with more information regarding Returns/Exchanges.

We will re-size an item at any time after your purchase, for a small charge to cover our costs. Please use this form here when sending back your ring for resizing. The form explains exactly how to send your ring back to us, the cost of resizing (£20) and other helpful information. Resizing usually takes 3-5 working days, however some items can only be resized within specific size ranges, and others can be specially made but this would take longer to return to you.

Items that have been received by you, and then sent back to be re-sized, will not be accepted for a refund afterwards.

All items must be returned via Royal Mail Special Delivery which ensures there is proof of delivery and that the item is fully insured during transit. Please insure the item for the maximum value, which currently is £2,500. DO NOT write Just Eternity or Just Jewellery on a package when returning it to us. Instead, please write Just J Ltd. This will help to prevent the possibility of theft in transit.

If the item you received was a bespoke/special order for a non-standard ring size (outside of our usual range on each item) you will only be able to return it to us if it is faulty, because it will have been specially made for you and cannot be resold. Our standard sizes for women are 'H to Q 1/2' or 'H to S 1/2' depending on the product (you can check this by going to any product and looking at the ring sizes that are offered). Our standard sizes DO include half sizes.
